Day #516 – My Marriage

Dear God I’m Grateful For My Marriage

Day #516 – ““Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” 

.

And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”” – Matthew‬ ‭19:4-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Today, my husband and I celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary! 

.

It’s crazy to think we’ve been married that long because it honestly feels like we went on our first date last week. The years have brought so many ups and downs, but most importantly it brought us closer together with each day. 

.

Although the Bible speaks of marriage only being a thing on earth, I thank God for the gift of marriage and time I’m blessed with to enjoy it. It’s truly a beautiful blessing wrapped in love and I couldn’t have asked for a better man to spend life with than my husband Durand. 

.

May the Lord continue to bless us with many more years together and may this union reflect the love of Christ with every anniversary.
