Day #481 - Goodness, Peace, & Joy

Dear God I’m Grateful For Goodness, Peace, & Joy

“For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Goodness – God is good all of the time. Everything he created was good and all good and perfect things come from him. Living a life of goodness is simply acknowledging that life is good regardless of how what we see or how we feel because at the end of the day, God is good.

Peace – Prayer and peace go hand in hand because they allow us to focus on the goodness of God. In fact, Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ instructs us, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Joy – The Joy of the Lord is our strength. Although we may experience moments of sadness or weeping, joy always comes in the morning. “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!”

What I love most is that by focusing on these three things, we will please God. The following verse ends with, “If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too.” – Romans‬ ‭14:17-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
