Dear God I’m Grateful That I’m Enough

Growing up, I never thought that I was enough.

In my mind:

I was never pretty enough so I’d try to be the best friend.

I was never smart enough so I’d compensate by earning achievements.

I was never cool enough so I’d pretend to be something I wasn’t.

And I was never good enough, so I’d make sure others felt like they were.

Growing up I never thought I was enough. And even as adult, it took years to get to the point of accepting myself for who God created me to be.

I’m his eyes:

I’m not just enough, I’m more than enough.

I’m not just pretty, I’m beautiful and wonderfully created in His image.

I’m not just smart, I’m blessed with His wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

And I’m not just cool, I’m chosen, set apart, and created to carry out His assignment.

I’m grateful that as a child of God, I’m enough, and regardless of what you think about yourself or what others tell you, so are you!
