Day #408 – Forgiveness Of Self
Dear God I’m Grateful For Forgiveness Of Self
.
We often focus on the power of forgiving others, but not enough on the power of forgiving ourselves. Forgiveness in itself brings freedom and peace of mind not just for us but for the person receiving it.
.
If we can reach a point where we can extend forgiveness, it’s just as important to extend that same grace and mercy to ourselves.
.
Too many of us are suffering in silence, people pleasing just to avoid disappointment, and feeling like public professionals and personal failures. We beat ourselves up more than we do others and the pressure we place on ourselves is too much for us to bear. We need grace.
.
We need to find peace in who God created us to be and we need to understand that life is full of lessons and blessings. We need to forgive ourselves. If God can forgive us for all of our sins, then we can also forgive ourselves.
