Day #398 – New Experiences
Dear God I’m Grateful For New Experiences

Who says we can’t explore a new place, pick up a new hobby, meet new people, or try something completely out of our comfort zone?
.
Today, I decided to try something new.
.
If you know me, you know I struggle with confidence when it comes to my image, due to imperfections and flaws in my skin. Since elementary school, I’ve always struggled with breakouts, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation, and from childhood to adulthood, it still hasn’t gone away.
.
As much as I’ve prayed for clear skin, tried all of the products, went to the professionals, and even tried to cover it up, I usually avoid professional photos because I can’t quite seem to fully love what I see.
.
But today, I chose to model.
.
I choose to help and serve a local boutique and stepped in front of a camera with a few very beautiful and lovely ladies! It was new, frightening, but also fun. And I walked away with a little more confidence than I had before.
.
We often avoid trying new things due to fear of judgement, failure, success, or even the unknown, but the moment we became renewed in Christ, new experiences become our lives! Embrace the new.
