Day #392 – My Mind
Dear God I’m Grateful For My Mind
.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – II Timothy 1:7 NKJV

Living in the city has its perks like spectacular views, but it also opens your eyes to so many different kind of people. From the commuters, to the night owls, the homeless and even the addicts, people watching has become a new habit of mine lately.
.
Today, as I looked outside, to my right I saw college students, completed wasted, blasting music, and barely able to stand. To my left, 2 police cars, a fire truck, ambulance, and a homeless woman suffering from a mental breakdown. Both views showed different perspectives of what it means to lose your control of your mind, yet one we glorify and the other we chastise.

Instead of pointing fingers of judgment, I choose to pray for both. I pray that both the students and the woman make it through the night safely. I’ve witnessed so much in my short time of living here that has give me a deeper sense of gratitude for my life and my mind.
