Day #384 - Peace That Surpasses Understanding

Dear God I’m Grateful For Peace That Surpasses Understanding

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This first time I understood God’s peace, I was planning my father’s funeral. I was surrounded by grieving family members and received countless condolences, yet my heart was so at peace, I didn’t understand it.

Even now, not knowing what the Lord has in store, yet trusting in his Word and allowing him to order my steps, I have so much peace. It’s a peace that unfathomable that sneaks up on you so quietly. It’s a peace that causes you to not question anything and go with the flow. It’s a peace that fills you with gratitude.

Gods peace may not make sense in the moment, but it protects and comforts us when we need it most. His peace guides us into joy and delivers us from pain or grief because He is peace, and He is more than well ever need.

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.”
