Day #309 – My Own Work

Dear God I’m Grateful For My Own Work

.

“Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.” – Galatians‬ ‭6:4-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In today’s world it’s easy to get lost in comparison when we’re looking at the success of others. It’s easy to move differently when things don’t move as quickly as we thought or hoped and It’s easy to see someone else thrive and assume that our journey will the same as theirs.  

.

The thing is, our path is for us and their path is for them. Focusing on our own work is the only thing that will bring us success and true fulfillment because God has given each of us a gift and a plan, and it is our job to execute that plan in its entirety. 

.

Replicating someone else’s method may seem logical but in the long run it only distracts us from the work God has given us and the way he wants us to complete it.  Just because it happened for them one way, doesn’t mean it’ll happen for us the same way. 

.

Trust the process, trust God’s plan, and pay close attention to what’s he’s placed in front of you.
