Day #202 – Design
Dear God I’m Grateful For Design
.
Moving into a new space can often spark fresh ideas and creative expression. A blank canvas gives us the freedom to design an environment that’s conducive to our physical and mental health, as well as help us better focus on and pursue our God given purpose.
.
In Exodus chapters 25-31 the Lord instructs Moses to design a holy temple that pleasing to God and acceptable for ministry and worship. He instructs the people to bring offerings to assist in the design and creates a space conducive to service unto the Lord.

““Tell the people of Israel to bring me their sacred offerings. Accept the contributions from all whose hearts are moved to offer them.
.
Here is a list of sacred offerings you may accept from them: gold, silver, and bronze; blue, purple, and scarlet thread; fine linen and goat hair for cloth; tanned ram skins and fine goatskin leather; acacia wood; olive oil for the lamps; spices for the anointing oil and the fragrant incense; onyx stones, and other gemstones to be set in the ephod and the priest’s chestpiece.

“Have the people of Israel build me a holy sanctuary so I can live among them. You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you.”

I’m grateful for design and how the Lord gives us the vision to design the spaces that support us in our lives. Regardless of the size of your space, if the Lord has blessed you with a space to call your own allow him to show you the pattern he has to make your temple feel like a safe and holy space.
