Day #168 – Psalms 1
Dear God I’m Grateful For Psalms 1
.
The first chapter of Psalms is so powerful because although it is short, it highlights three simple directions that will lead to prosperity, protection and salvation.
.
- Do not follow the advice of the wicked
- Do not stand around with sinners or join with mockers.
- Delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on it day and night.
.
By not following the advice of the wicked, we will not be led astray. We will fall victim to any plans the devil may have and we will be able to rest and approve God’s will for our lives.
.
When we avoid standing around with sinners or joining mockers, we avoid the temptation or pressure to sin. We avoid turning away from God to fit in with the crowd and we avoid a fall of our own demise in an effort to please others.
.
And when we delight and meditate on the law of the Lord day and night, we strengthen our spirit man. Our focus become solidified and nothing and no one can distract us or lead us astray or away from God. His Word brings life and in the life we receive peace, prosperity, abundance, and salvation.

“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
.
They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
.
But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.
.
For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.” – Psalms 1:1-6 NLT
