Dear God I’m Grateful There’s Nothing New Under The Sun

There’s a saying that says “history repeats itself”, and another that says what goes around comes back around. We say them so loosely, but fail to realize that the Bible says something similar in the Book of Ecclesiastes 3.
.
“And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him. What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again.”
Ecclesiastes 3:14-15 NLT

Therefore, the encounters, experiences, and situations that we face today are repetition of what has happened on the past. History does repeat itself because God makes the same things happen over and over again.

Knowing now that what we experience today will happen again in the near future, let us learn to fear God and walk by faith, as the Word instructs us. Lessons can be learned everyday and if we can live righteously and prepare the next generation by training them up in the Word, then maybe, when the same experiences come back around, they will be confident, strong, and faithful enough to conquer them once again.
