Day #98 – My Body
Dear God I’m Grateful For My Body

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
Genesis 1:27 NLT

We are sent into the world with one vessel and one body, and how we choose to care for it shows God how much we value his creation.
.
For we are created in the image of God. He knit us together while we were still in our mothers womb and only He knows how our inner most being works.
.
“You guided my conception and formed me in the womb. You clothed me with skin and flesh, and you knit my bones and sinews together. You gave me life and showed me your unfailing love. My life was preserved by your care.” – Job 10:10-12 NLT
.
God gave us these bodies to care for and to serve and bring glory to his name. He has given us strength and health, and he protects us from all harm. It is up to us to take care of our vessel and to love it the way that God does. For the body is a Holy Temple and we must honor the Lord with our body.

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT
