Day #85 - Completion - Micayla Robertson

Dear God I’m Grateful For Completion

I must admit that I am guilty of aiming for perfection and sometimes putting things off if I don’t foresee them turning out perfectly.

I honestly have video footage in my phone from years ago, just because I had an idea that I immediately moved on it, I began to gather what I needed, and then I realized that I was missing something that would make it perfect and stopped working on it altogether.

In my head, I truly believed that I refused to move on until I had all of the pieces I needed to make it perfect, but it all reality fear and comparison stepped in making me believe that the vision God gave me needed “something else” in order to be perfect.

The truth is, done is better than perfect, and completion is achieved when committed to Christ.

When God gives us an idea or a vision, it is already perfected. The issue comes when we insert comparison or our own opinions to make things “better”, because we only see parts of the greater vision, so our understanding is partial and limited.

“Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!” – ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus requires our obedience, not our perfection. If we can commit to finishing the work he gives us, then imagine how much closer we will be to completing the purpose that he has called us to complete.

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” – ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
