Day #66 – Change

Dear God I’m Grateful For Change

.

It was this day last year that I lost my jobs. I was working full time as both a podcast producer and a hotel agent and received a call from both locations that this day would be my last day. Little did we know, a global pandemic would follow leaving the whole world to rebuild.

.

When I first received the news of unemployment, I was anxious and confused wondering how something like this could happen to me, but also extremely relieved that I could finally take a break from working. I knew that I wanted to change my situation, but I didn’t have the courage or the resources to change it myself.

.

The beautiful thing about God is, sometimes, the change that we pray for can come in unexpected ways. The key to embracing change is to place even more trust in God.

.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” – Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

As I look back at this past year, I am so blessed to witness how the Lord changed my life for the better. Not only was my prayer for change answered, but God has given me rest, peace of mind, the life that I prayed for, the opportunity to work from home, the courage to build a business and the freedom to move freely.

Change was inevitable, but trust was a choice.
