Dear God I’m Grateful For Friendship

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. (proverbs 27:17)

It’s truly a blessing to have people in your life whom you can call friends. People who lift you up when you’re low and celebrate you when you grow. I can honestly admit that over the years, the Lord has blessed me with some pretty amazing friends, and all of them I love and appreciate for their commitment to our friendship.

What I’ve learned on this journey, is that even when surrounded by great friends, the only ONE who can surpass all of them is Jesus alone. He comforts us even in isolation and listens to our inner most thoughts. Not only that, he gav us his life for us so that we could be made whole and love each other. Jesus is the greatest friend and I am overwhelmed by his friendship and love for me!

There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. – John 15:13
