Day #104 - Victory - Micayla Robertson

Dear God I’m Grateful For Victory

I want you to imagine the most gruesome, bloodiest battle consuming the lives of millions every single day.

It’s morbid, I know, but through a spiritual lens, this is how the world is today. The battle is not flesh and blood, but souls are being lost daily and lives are being taken by the hand of the enemy.

Ephesians 6 warns us to “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” -Ephesians‬ ‭6:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Although we may look okay on the outside, people are dying inside and crying out for salvation. With loss, grief, depression, stress, fear, worry, anxiety, anger, lust, greed, addiction, temptation, and so much more, our world has normalized these behaviors and the people suffering in silence are in desperate need of God’s rescue.

“But, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” (Romans‬ ‭8:37‬ ‭NLT‬‬) The death of Jesus not only brought eternal life, but it established victory over the enemy’s schemes here on Earth. “He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:57‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

We gained victory through death, but we experience victory though faith and obedience to God’s commandments.

“Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” -‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:3-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So I encourage you to step into your victory and turn your eyes to the Lord. Accept him into your heart and turn from your wicked ways. God is love and a refuge for anyone in need who believes. Through him we have victory and can conquer anything.

“My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.”
