Day #134 – Playtime
Dear God I’m Grateful For Playtime

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.”
Psalms 127:3 NLT

Since traveling, I’ve had the honor of spending time with my niece and the other day she ran up to me and ask me to play.
.
We played for hours!
.
We played Wonder Woman and flew around with blankets saving the world, fighting off monsters and bad guys, and flying at super speed. We made up stories and played dress up and pranced around like princesses. We spent hours playing and using our imagination and at the end of the day, we were worn out, but felt so accomplished and fulfilled.
.
I thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a child. Her innocence was rejuvenating and infectious and just playing brought me peace and sparked my creativity. I thank God for his love for children and for blessing me with children in my life to remind me of how God wants us to approach him.

“One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them!
