Day #143 – Action

Dear God I’m Grateful For Action

.

There’s a saying that says “actions speak louder than words”. 

.

We can talk all day and say that we will do something, but in the end our actions will speak for us. The same applies to the Word of God for it is not enough to just read the Word, we must also put the Word into action. 

.

James‬ ‭1:19-25‬ ‭NLT‬‬ says, “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” 

.

So let us commit our actions to the Lord and exercise our faith through our actions. May our actions consistently reflect the Lord’s decrees and give us the boldness and the confidence to serve him freely. ‭

“Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.” – 1 John‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬
