Day #247 – The Love Of The Father

Dear God I’m Grateful For The Love Of The Father

.

“We love each other because he loved us first.” – 1 John‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 

.

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 

. 

No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. (‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:9-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

.

So, do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 

.

For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. 

.

These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. (‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:15-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

“For, three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬
