Day #255 – Praise
Dear God I’m Grateful For Praise

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. – Proverbs 31:30 NLT
.
Praise is the expression of approval or admiration for someone or something.
.
Today, I received praise from my husband for my character in Christ and my spirit to love and encourage as a friend and a wife. His words moved me to tears because receiving admiration and praise confirmed that my prayers were being also being answered.
.
You see, my biggest prayer is to be used by the Lord as a vessel to bless others. Whether it be through love, encouragement, being a light, or simply being a follower of Christ, my mission is to sharpen and encourage others in Christ. So, to receive praise for carrying out my mission only motivates me to keep serving and to give God more praise, which is ultimately the point.

This is why we are encouraged to praise God: When we speak highly of the Lord our praise towards him changes the hearts of those of hear and when we receive admiration and praise from others, we give God more of it to confirm to the Lord the measure of our love and gratitude.
.
Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. Let us enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise and give thanks to him while praising his name. (Hebrews 13:15 NLT Psalms 100:4 NLT)

As Psalms 34:1 NLT declares, “I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.”
