Day #261 – Wisdom Through A Storm
Dear God I’m Grateful For Wisdom Through A Storm
.
Tonight in Southern California, I experienced my first electrical storm. If you’re not familiar (trust me I wasn’t) it’s a powerful thunderstorm that’s more lighting and thunder than actual rain.
.
As a little girl I used to be terrified of thunder storms. Although the fear tries to linger sometimes, it was amazing to see the storm light up the sky.
.
The thunder shook the earth and the lightning made the night seem like day, and the storm was so powerful, thousands were left without power and hundreds of palm trees caught fire. It’s crazy to think that something so beautiful in sight could cause so much danger and chaos.
.
But then again, we all have physical desires that may appear attractive, but like a storm will set us back and bring us harm. This is why it is important that we seek wisdom and guidance for the Lord.

““God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knows where it can be found, for he looks throughout the whole earth and sees everything under the heavens.

He decided how hard the winds should blow and how much rain should fall. He made the laws for the rain and laid out a path for the lightning.

Then he saw wisdom and evaluated it. He set it in place and examined it thoroughly. And this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’””
