Day #264 - Studying - Micayla Robertson

Dear God I’m Grateful For Studying

“I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways.” ‭‭- Psalms‬ ‭119:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We often associate studying with school and for many of the us, the general thought of studying brings anxiety, lack of motivation or pure dislike. But studying extends outside of the classroom and can be applied to any area of our lives.

The definition of study is the devotion of time and attention to acquiring knowledge.

According to Proverbs, we know that fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. ‭‭(Proverbs 1:7 NLT, Proverbs‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬) Just imagine how much knowledge we could gain from devoting time and attention to the one from who knowledge flows.

Studying the Bible and meditating on the Word ensures prosperity success. For Joshua 1:8 says, “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

So today I express gratitude for the practice that brings wisdom, knowledge, success, and a deeper relationship with God. I am grateful that I receive the opportunity to dedicate my attention to the Word and that the Lord gives me the ability to retain his information and hide the Word in my heart daily.

Take time to study your Bible and watch how you gain a deeper understanding of life and righteous living.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” – ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬
