Day #306 – The Moon
Dear God I’m Grateful for The Moon

“Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.” And that is what happened.

God made two great lights—the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.” – Genesis 1:14-18 NLT

Since I was a child, I’ve always been fascinated with the moon. I used to think that it followed me home every night and was my own personal night light in the sky.

To this day, I can’t help but stop and stare whenever I see it in the sky. I find so much peace in its presence and I’m mesmerized by how beautifully it lights up the night sky.
.
Apparently, tonight is supposed to be the longest lunar eclipse. From Thursday night to Friday morning views of the moon will be seen by everyone around the world. I pray that I can get a glimpse of its beauty, but most importantly I thank God for his marvelous creation.

God created the moon to govern the night and shine a light in the midst of darkness. He created it for us, and I am forever grateful!
