Day #333 – Execution
Dear God I’m Grateful For Execution
.
“We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer. People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives. Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” -Proverbs 16:1-3 NLT
.
If you follow me on social media, you may have seen me talk about my word for 2022, being EXECUTE.
.
I even released a podcast episode explaining this commitment in more depth on the IRONWIFEY Podcast to breakdown how this word was given to me by the Lord and what it means to me personally.
.
While it may seem powerful and glorified at first glance, when I studied what it actually means to execute, I found that there are 3 ways to approach this word.
.
- To carry out or put into effect (a plan, order, or course of action).
.
- carry out a sentence of death on
.
- write one’s name on to identify oneself as the writer or sender.
.
So, I believe that in order to truly execute, I have to be prepared to do all three.
.
I need to put to death the things that have stopped me from carrying out God’s will in my life.
.
I need to step into my purpose confidently and obediently carry out the plan that God has for me.
.
AND, I need to be ready to sign everything the Lord has my name on.
.
Execution may not look sexy, especially since I’ll have to shed my fears, doubt, self-judgement, procrastination, and all the things that have kept me paralyzed over the years, but I’m sure the outcome will be marvelous and bring me true fulfillment, while in the process bringing glory to God.
