Today marks Day 365 days of Dear God I’m Grateful which means, this is episode 365 of the podcast.
.
That’s
365 days of gratitude
365 days of faith
365 days of consistency
And 365 days of Bible study.
.
For some, this may not seem like a big deal, but for me, a girl who struggled with being consistent and constantly fell short on her follow through, this day is a blessing.
.
“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalms 118:24 NLT
.
Last year I set out on a journey to focus on Gratitude and give God thanks for one thing every day. I was in a season where life after death was hard to grasp, but I knew that if I could focus on the good and focus on God, then I would be fine.
.
So I challenged my own faith and told God that for 365 days I would find something to be grateful for. And to hold myself accountable, I decided to share the journey with all of you, here on Instagram, and in the form of a podcast, where I feel most comfortable.
.
There were days when I was sick and barely had a voice, days where I honestly just didn’t feel like doing it, days where I struggled to find something to be grateful for and days where I was filled with an abundance of gratitude.
.
The biggest lesson I learned from this journey is that our greatest blessings are on the other side of gratefulness.
.
Philippians 4:6 NLT says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” I have more peace now, because I’ve seen what God can do when we stop worrying and focus on being thankful for what he has already given us. Everything around us is a blessing.
.
So today I encourage you to do as 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT says and “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” Find something to be grateful for DAILY and watch God move and perform miracles in your life!
