Day #39 – The Sun

Dear God I’m Grateful For The Sun

Have you ever noticed how even though the sun is millions of miles away, it’s so bright, it lights the world.

Think about that…. 

The sun is a star located almost 93 million miles from Earth, yet, it sheds light on all of God’s creatures and warms all of the land. It provides warmth and sight to those in darkness and life to all that are planted.

Today I express gratitude for the sun and find it no coincidence that the Bible App’s scripture of the day also gives glory to God’s amazing creation.

Psalms 19:1-6 reads:

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.

The skies display his craftsmanship.

Day after day they continue to speak;

night after night they make him known.

They speak without a sound or word;

their voice is never heard.

Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,

and their words to all the world.

God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.

It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding.

It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.

The sun rises at one end of the heavens

and follows its course to the other end.

Nothing can hide from its heat.

God created the sun for all of us to enjoy, but also for all of us to emulate. May the light of Christ within us shine bright for the world to see and may we present with warmth the message of Christ for all to radiantly receive.
