Day #395 – Rain
Dear God I’m Grateful For Rain

“Ask the Lord for rain in the spring, for he makes the storm clouds. And he will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture.”

Today was the first rainfall the city has seen in months and it also feels symbolic and in alignment with my personal prayers and expectations as I wait for the Lord to send the rain.

“Let my teaching fall on you like rain; let my speech settle like dew. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants.”
Deuteronomy 32:2 NLT

Rain has a way clearing the air, watering the Earth, refreshing the land, and bringing peace of mind. It’s soothing and calming to listen to and witness, just like Jesus and the Word of God.

““The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”

Seasons of drought and unanswered prayers will spark the desire for an abundance of rain. As the many raindrops fall from the sky, may the Lord bless us abundantly, sending down a rainfall of faithfulness and favor.
