Day #42 – Preparation
Dear God I’m Grateful For Preparation
To prepare means to make someone ready or able to do or deal with something. It also means to make something/someone ready for use or consideration.
Not only does the Lord prepare us by providing the tools we need to walk in purpose, he also prepares us for his return. He sends angels to teach us wisdom and understanding, as well as prophets to share with us what we can expect.
“Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way.” – Mark 1:2 NLT
Today, the word of God is used to prepare us for the return of Jesus. It’s used to complete the mission he’s placed on our lives and provide us with the tools and resources needed to cleanse our hearts before he arrives.
According to 2 Timothy 3: 15-17
“You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
Every great work requires preparation. Before we embark on a new venture or complete the work we’re called on this Earth to do, it is important that we are prepared. Let us grow in wisdom and understanding of God’s word so that we can be equipped for his will and his return!
