Day #61 – Obedience
Dear God I’m Grateful For Obedience
.
Have you ever noticed how your obedience is always tied to someone else’s blessing?
.
I can think back to so many situations where the Lord led me to do something and because of my obedience other people were blessed. It’s not that I intentionally went out looking to bless someone, but because I received instructions and acted willingly, my actions encouraged others to do the same.
.
Whether we’re called to pour into others or in a season where we’re being poured into, the simple act of obeying God gives God an opportunity to show out through us, which in return shows others the glory of his grace.
.
According to Romans 5:19 NLT, “Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.”
.
Obedience holds power, and whether we choose to obey or disobey, we influence others with our actions. For example, when Adam disobeyed God it brought sin into the world and led to the fall of man, but when Jesus obeyed God it brought redemption and salvation, blessing others with new life in Christ!
.
When we walk in obedience we not only exercise our faith, but we also express our love for our Heavenly Father and his loving instruction. Obedience places us on a path toward righteousness and teaches us how to hear and know the voice of God. He always knows what’s best for us, so why wouldn’t we obediently follow his lead.
