Day #71 – Creativity
Dear God I’m Grateful For Creativity
.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1 NLT
.
Genesis tells the story of creation and all that God brought into existence for our enjoyment. From the land to the skies, and every living being, He gave everything a name and a place, and created us to govern over it.
.
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
Genesis 1:27-28 NLT

The definition of create is to bring something into existence, and from the very beginning of time, we’re created in the image of our creator and called to imitate our Father in creativity!

“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.”
Ephesians 5:1 NLT
.
For six days, God took his time to create everything that we see day. For six days he exercised creativity and on the seventh day he found rest. As you look around each day, acknowledge the beauty in what God created and use his creativity as inspiration to create.

“So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work.” – Genesis 2:1-2 NLT
.
All that God created was good, so if we can focus on creativity for 6 out of 7 days each week, then we can dedicate all of the good that we bring into existence back to the Lord, our God.
