Dear God I’m Grateful For Generosity

“The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” – ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11:25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s amazing how God will use the act of giving to give him praise!

Today while redesigning my husbands office we chose to get rid of many of the furniture pieces. Although still in great condition, they simply didn’t fit the vibe we’re going for in this season and have served their purpose for the last 2 years.

When my husband suggested we place the items in the building dumpster, my heart was drawn to give them away to someone in need. The Facebook Marketplace Ad was created and within an hour a lovely woman inquired her interest in the items. After her work shift ended she dropped by to pick up everything and we helped her load them into her car. She mentioned her excitement and her need for furniture to work from home in her office.

Now with most online exchanges, communication typically stops at this point. But she messaged me when she got home asking for help and advice on how we set up and arranged the furniture. To help with a visual, I decided to draw out a layout of our design and send it to her, and within hours she sent me a picture of her new office filled with furniture that was new to her!

With gratitude she typed, “It’s perfect thank u again! All from your generosity! God Bless!”

Generosity is defined as the quality of being kind and generous; plentiful and large. It’s amazing how the simple act of giving brought her so much excitement and I was so blessed to see how she created a space where she could thrive!

My prayer is that God will use that furniture to encourage her to keep going in her business. May the work she performs moving forward in her new space bring her prosperity and abundance and may the environment she has created for herself propel her into God’s plans for her life! We never know how things can make an impact on someone, but when we have them to give, why not generously give to someone in need.
