Day #77 - Patience - Micayla Robertson

Dear God I’m Grateful For Patience

One of the greatest challenges I’ve witnessed many Christians face is patiently waiting for God to answer a prayer.

We’re taught to place all of our trust in God and surrender our plans to his, and then he fills us with his desires that may or may not come to pass in this season. True trust comes in the waiting period, and although patience may seem exciting when you know the end goal, the actual wait can often bring fear and doubt into your life.

“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.” – ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sometimes patience may lead us to grow tired, exhausted or weak, but when we wait on the Lord he will renew our strength. His timing is best and his promises stand the tests of time.

“Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” – ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:28-31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Just think about it. Yesterday was Good Friday where Jesus was crucified and tomorrow Easter where he will be risen, but today we’re called to be patient and trust that God’s promises will be delivered.

“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.” – ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:35-36‬ ‭NLT‬‬
